D3 Productions,
Inc. specializes in television programs and documentaries that
introduce Chinese culture to American audiences. Founded in 1997,
D3 Productions’ programs have been airing for over 10 years on
public and independent TV stations across the United States,
reaching 75% of TV households, in 48 states, on over 450 stations.
D3 Productions has received numerous awards for excellence in
production, directing, editing, writing and cultural content for its
two continuous TV series—Inside China and Land of the
Dragon—and its feature length documentaries. |

In 2007, D3
Productions won an Emmy® Award for Sketching the Silk Road, the
third documentary in the STEP INTO CHINA series, which now includes:
Tibet Diary (2004), Riding Rails in China (2005),
Sketching the Silk Road (2006), Kung Fu Journey to the East
(2008) Summer School on the Road and Interpreting Ancient
Fashion.
With the 2008 Olympics grabbing the world’s attention, D3
Productions spent two years producing a 13-episode series about
China’s preparation for the Games. The series—Beijing, Are You
Ready?—documents this historic period of transition for China
and its capital city. Beijing, Are You Ready? has been
translated into over eight languages, including French, Italian and
German, and is airing in the United States, China, South Africa,
Korea and many other international locations.
In additional
to educational programming, D3 Productions also specializes in
producing television commercials and promotional corporate videos.
In 2008, D3
Productions upgraded its production facility to full high-definition
(HD), from field cameras to its in-house editing suite. For its first
HD project, D3 Productions is filming behind-the-scenes
stories at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. |
